After Kerpen and Genk (Belgium), the four predicates DKM, DJKM, DSKM and DSKC travel on to Ampfing. The 1,036-meter-long track is the shortest on the race calendar, but still offers a lot of fun for the drivers. Especially a tight infield and a high-speed chicane often make the difference at the Schweppermannring.

Belgian Genk’s „Home of Champions” was the location of the second racing weekend of the German Kart Championship. An international field of participants made for exciting races and some changes in the Championship ranking.

The start into the German Kart Championship's anniversary year couldn't have been more diversified. 102 participants travelled to the Erftland and experienced hard fights for the first championship points of the year in mixed weather. In the end, there were seven different winners.
