The 2026 Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy reaches its season finale this week at the Steel Ring in Trinec, Czech Republic, where Round 4 will crown the championship title winners from September 9 to 13, 2026.

Saturday had left Aspar with unfinished business. Axel Nocom and Angelina Simons Torres had controlled their respective qualifying programmes without converting them into Final victories, while Mayson Hibbert had completed the opening day unbeaten. Sunday offered one final opportunity to master the unfamiliar circuit and another full day of closely fought racing in the Spanish heat.

The Feature Race that wrapped up the eighth round of the FIA Formula 3 Championship season, held at the legendary Monza circuit, provided Trident Motorsport with a mixed bag of lights and shadows. Championship leader Freddie Slater was forced to retire, while the Milan-based team, headquartered in Ossona, was saved by Noah Strømsted, who scored points after a relentless race, and a positive performance by Matteo De Palo.

Salim Hanna converted pole position into victory in the second of the three races at Imola, becoming the ninth different winner of the 2026 FIA Formula Regional European Championship season. The PREMA Racing driver led from the first lap to the last. Behind him, Oleksandr Bondarev finished second on his series debut with Van Amersfoort Racing, also taking top honours in the Rookie class, while CL Motorsport’s Reno Francot took third, returning to the podium for the first time since his home race at Zandvoort last May.

Emanuele Olivieri converted pole position into victory in the opening race of the Imola weekend, claiming his second win of the season, mathematically securing the Rookie title and moving into the lead of the FIA Formula Regional European Championship standings.
