PREMA Racing has confirmed that Formula 4 driver Sebastian Montoya will remain with the team for the upcoming season, as he steps up to the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine. The 16-year-old Colombian-American started his European career with PREMA in 2020, claiming multiple podium finishes throughout the last two years. For the third consecutive season under the colors of the Italian team, the son of former Formula 1 driver and two-time Indy 500 Champion Juan Pablo Montoya, will make an important step joining in a series that is a benchmark in the single-seaters panorama.

Montoya already started his preparations with simulator and on-track testing, and will enter selected rounds of the Formula Regional Asian Championship. He will start the season right from his F4 career wrapped up at Monza, as the mighty Autodromo Nazionale will host the 2022 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine season opener at the end of April.
