13 teams ready for the new Formula Regional European Championship
The new series, the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine – certified by FIA, which sees ACI Sport as Promoter, is definitely the official step from F4 towards F1, with the important certification by FIA, allowing 25 points of Super License for the winner of the series. 16 teams have applied, and 13 have been pre-selected to the 2021 championship, all of them potentially ready to line up 3 cars (with the possibility of a 4th car for a woman driver), in a season that is definitely showing an amazing potential for what regards professionality, high competition and amazing show.

The calendar, that you can find below, is made of 10 appointments on F1 tracks in Europe, plus 12 official test days, 6 of which before the start of the season. The format of each racing weekend is set for two 50 minutes free sessions on Friday, qualifying session 1 and race 1 on Saturday and qualifying session 2 and race 2 on Sunday. Qualifying sessions will last 20 minutes each, while races will have a duration of 30 minutes plus one lap.
The car will be a Tatuus F.3 T-318 monocoque carbon composite FIA F3 2018 homologated with Halo chassis, powered by a 1.8 litre 270 HP and 380 Nm Renault engine. Tyres will be supplied by Pirelli and lubricating oil by Castrol.
