The 25th Winter Cup, opener of season 2020 scheduled for February 14-16 at the South Garda Karting circuit in Lonato has 305 drivers in the provisional entry list of the four categories KZ2, OK, OK-Junior and Mini Rok.

A great participation is awaited at the 25th Winter Cup as all International karting protagonists are gearing up to contest the 4 categories KZ2, OK, OK-Junior and Mini Rok. The 25th Winter Cup is scheduled for February 14th – 16th 2020 at the South Garda Karting Circuit in Lonato is about to run another record edition. This event is an international “classic” race with great sporting contents.

On track categories MINI, OKJ, KZ2, Iame X30 Senior and X30 Junior. Entry lists to open on February 3rd 2020. The “Andrea Margutti” Trophy continues to honour the memory of the young karting promise Andrea Margutti with the 31st edition of the event that started back in 1990. The 2020 event will take place as usual at the South Garda Karting Circuit in Lonato on February 27th – March 1st with the organization by Parma Motorsport. Entry lists to open on February 3rd.

After a highly successful 2019 season – whose highlights included Emilien Denner’s victory at the FIA Karting International Super Cup, Bas Lammers winning the WSK Super Master Series championship, Anthony Abbasse’s victory in the Winter Cup and victory in Le Mans 24-hour race, Sodikart has opted to bolster its international ambitions and raise its profile on the world karting competition stage. 

The 17 year old Strasbourg driver will head to the southern hemisphere series on the back of an impressive season in karting in KZ2 in which he won the FIA Karting KZ2 International Supercup during the FIA Karting World Championship held in Italy in Sept.’19 and the 30° Trofeo Andrea Margutti, as well as finishing second in the FIA Karting European Championship with the win of FIA Europe Round 2 in Sarno in what is considered as one of the best and epic FIA Final of the last years. He was also third in the 2018 CIK-FIA European KZ2 Championship and is widely regarded as one of the best young karting talents in the world.

Edition 2019 of the Trofeo delle Industrie saw Lorenzo Giannoni being added to the Hall of Fame of the event as he won the prestigious Memorial Carlo Fabi of the event organized by Parma Motorsport since 1971.

Rosati was involved in an incident, due also to the heavy rain, while Federer kicked off to a good start, but was then slowed down by a spin and ended the Final in P6 after a good comeback race. La Martina, Fetzer and Bernardotto obtained good results, as Rieberer in OKJ.

A very wet edition has been dominated by Giannoni in KZ2, who also won the overall Memorial Carlo Fabi. The Dutch Vanthoff won OK, Cenedese OK-Junior, the Russian Kutskov Minikart and Carenini X30 Senior. In KZ2, Giannoni delivered “driving lessons” on the wet. In OK-Junior, Bertuca came to the fore in qualifying, as the Russian Kutskov in Minikart, Carenini in X30 Senior and Vanthoff in OK. The oldest race in the world keeps growing. A total of 253 drivers entered the race organized by Parma Motorsport for categories 60 Mini, KZ2, OK, OK-Junior and Iame X30 Senior  that will take place at the South Garda Karting Circuit in Lonato from November 1st to 3rd.

Maranello Kart displayed a good competitiveness with Federico Diana that claimed the victory in KZN Under at the ACI Karting Italian Cup held in Arce.

More than 230 drivers entered the 48th Trofeo delle Industrie, race organized by Parma Motorsport and scheduled for next November 1st-3rd at the South Garda Karting Circuit in Lonato. Federer won the closing final of DKM in KZ2 at Ampfing (Germany) and came third in the final classification, Trefilovs claimed his third win in KZ2 Cup and ended second in the championship. In Italy, Dante won the 29th Autumn Trophy in Lonato.

Massimo Dante claimed a spectacular win in KZ2 during the first of the two rounds of the 29th Autumn Trophy. Cristian Griggio claimed the second place in KZN Over.

After being victorious in seven out of the last ten races in KZ2 and thus dominating in Spain, Hiltbrand clinches the title in the season-closing event in Zuera. Meanwhile, Fontecha secures the Championship in the Senior category in Zuera, after the victories in Chiva and Campillos.

Five-times World Champion Davide Forè will make a return to Australia’s Gold Coast to compete in the 2019 Race of Stars later this month (October 17-19). With a resume that eclipses that of any current karting driver across the globe, Forè will be making his fifth start at Australia’s most prestigious stand-alone karting event being contested at the Xtreme Karting Complex.
