Following the two initial practice days and qualifying on Friday afternoon with track temperatures reaching 60 degrees Celsius, heats on Saturday, July 27th were run on better weather conditions until mid-afternoon when a thunderstorm made temperatures drop but made it tricky to continue with the race that was underway, the second heat of KZ2.

The temperature at this fourth round of the Italian Championship was mitigated also by the heavy rain fallen on Friday night, which challenged some of the structures set up by the conductors. Categories KZ2, 60 Mini, Iame X30 Junior and Senior, Rok Junior and Senior are the categories on track.

Palomba strong in KZ2, but the Finn Tonteri shining in the deluge

In this second heat, the Finn Paavo Tonteri (Tony Kart-Vortex) took the lead during the last lap and led Marseglia and Francesco Comanducci (Tony Kart-Tm) at the chequered flag, while Palomba slipped down to P4 in the closing laps after leading the race up to that point.
