In the world of motorsports, few races can be billed as the race of the year, but time and time again the SKUSA SuperNationals have been dubbed the pinnacle karting event of the year. It is poised once again to be “the race of the year.” SKUSA SuperNationals karting event is from 20th to 24th November in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Board of Karting Australia has confirmed that the season opener for the 2020 Australian Kart Championship presented by Castrol EDGE will be held at Australia’s newest karting facility – The Bend Motorsport Park in South Australia. To be hosted by the Barossa Go-Kart Club, with the support of several other South Australian Clubs, the opening round will be contested on February 28-March 1.

Organised on the 7 Laghi circuit of Castelletto, the second and last WSK Open Cup event was not spared by the weather. The cool weather was accompanied by many showers, although the Finals were held on a virtually dry track. Hugo Sasse in OK and James Wharton in OK-Junior confirmed Parolin's excellent competitiveness while the successes multiplied in Mini in parallel with the revelation of two young talents in the Parolin Racing Kart team with the Russian Khavalkin and the Chinese Zhang.

Edition 2019 of the Trofeo delle Industrie saw Lorenzo Giannoni being added to the Hall of Fame of the event as he won the prestigious Memorial Carlo Fabi of the event organized by Parma Motorsport since 1971.

Rosati was involved in an incident, due also to the heavy rain, while Federer kicked off to a good start, but was then slowed down by a spin and ended the Final in P6 after a good comeback race. La Martina, Fetzer and Bernardotto obtained good results, as Rieberer in OKJ.

The first ever Ultimate Club Racer event has come to an end at South Australia’s The Bend Motorsport Park with winners coming from no less than five Australian states in a dramatic final day that crowned Australia’s best club karters. The inaugural event drew together racers from every state in Australia to compete for the ‘silver plate’ that they’ll have the honour of running for the next 12 months in Karting Australia competition.

A very wet edition has been dominated by Giannoni in KZ2, who also won the overall Memorial Carlo Fabi. The Dutch Vanthoff won OK, Cenedese OK-Junior, the Russian Kutskov Minikart and Carenini X30 Senior. In KZ2, Giannoni delivered “driving lessons” on the wet. In OK-Junior, Bertuca came to the fore in qualifying, as the Russian Kutskov in Minikart, Carenini in X30 Senior and Vanthoff in OK. Two-day test on kart for the FDA drivers who, within the cooperation with the Tony Kart Racing Team, carried out intense race sessions on the track together with our official drivers.

OW Karting proved last weekend on a wet circuit of Spa-Francorchamps that they are a top team. The riders of Ricardo Oude Weernink’s squad managed to finish on the podium in three different classes. Jesse Smeets won the day’s classification in the IAME X30 Senior class, Jordi Verhagen finished third in the Open Shifter class and Mitchell van Dijk finished second in the Mini Parilla class. The Praga chassis was bullet-proof in all weather conditions.

The oldest race in the world keeps growing. A total of 253 drivers entered the race organized by Parma Motorsport for categories 60 Mini, KZ2, OK, OK-Junior and Iame X30 Senior  that will take place at the South Garda Karting Circuit in Lonato from November 1st to 3rd.

From Lonato to Le Mans, the Energy Corse brand has gained victories and podiums in particularly difficult and challenging events. Indeed, both the Rok Cup Superfinal and the IAME International Final each brought together entries of more than 400 drivers! This did not prevent the Energy Corse team from achieving the double in Mini Rok with Alex Powell and Dmitry Matveev in Italy or from taking a magnificent 2nd place in X30 Junior in France with Robert De Haan, also awarded the German Championship in OK-Junior a few days earlier.

Maranello Kart displayed a good competitiveness with Federico Diana that claimed the victory in KZN Under at the ACI Karting Italian Cup held in Arce.

In view of the WSK Open Cup in Lonato, Tony Kart Racing Team is being enriched by three new drivers: Lorenzo Travisanutto and Pedro Hiltbrand, who conquered 3 World Titles in OK, and the young Aiden Neate.

The very first initiative for detecting young talent launched by Richard Mille last year, in close collaboration with Birel ART, was a true success. The Richard Mille Young Talent Academy is already preparing for its second edition, which will take place on 3rd, 4th and 5th December 2019 at the Bugatti Le Mans circuit with 18 young drivers from all over the world.

Frenchman Anthony Abbasse has taken out his second consecutive Gold Coast 600 Race of Stars at the Xtreme Karting Complex for the SodiKart factory team after a remarkable series of events that saw the race decided after the chequered flag.
