Former kartstars showing real racing skills in Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth

Race 1: Minì wins over Pizzi

The start sees Gabriele Minì, winner of the Super Course of the ACI Sport Federal School, keeping the lead of the race, with Francesco Pizzi (Van Amersfoort Racing) and Leonardo Fornaroli (Iron Lynx) and Sebastian Montoya behind him ( Press Powerteam) who maintain the positions of the starting grid.

A collision of Piotr Wisnicki's car with another brings the rear wing to the track and requires the entry of the safety car. At the restart Minì and Pizzi stretch on the group. Behind Filip Ugran (Jenzer Motorsport) overtakes Fornaroli at the bend of the wagon. Following Hamda Al Qubaisi (Abu Dhabi Racing) leaves the track and thus returns the safety car.

At the restart Pizzi is aggressive on Minì who, however, closes all the doors and holds the first position, while following Ugran attacks Pizzi, and Montoya passes Pietro Delli Guanti (BVM Racing). In the first four positions are therefore Minì, Pizzi, Ugran and Fornaroli.

The positions do not change and under the checkered flag pass Minì, Pizzi, Ugran, Fornaroli, Dino Beganovic (Prema Powerteam and pilot Ferri Driver Academy)

Extraordinary race 2: Rosso, Ugran, Pizzi and Minì

The most spectacular motorsport is shown in race 2 by the talents of the Italian F4, with Andrea Rosso stretching in the lead and then having to redo everything because of the safety car, until he wins. Behind him, battle and overtaking until the very last corners show an extraordinary race and still a lot of Italy and drivers from the ACI Sport Federal School.

At the start, Gabriele Minì (Prema Powerteam and driver of ACI Team Italia) from the pole makes a mistake and is passed by Andrea Rosso (CRam Motorsport), Francesco Pizzi (Van Amersfoort Racing) and Filip Ugran (Jenzer Motorsport). The leader stretches up to almost 4 seconds ahead of the Italian. Nice overtaking 23 minutes from the end of Minì, who has lost many positions, on teammate Montoya.

About halfway through the race, the Chinese Han Cenyu (AKM Motorsport) goes off track and the safety car enters, so the group gets on to Andrea Rosso who had an advantage of almost 4 seconds.

At the restart after the safety car the leading positions do not change with Rosso, Ugran, Pizzi and Minì very close, then Sebastian Montoya (Prema Powerteam) who resists to the attacks of Pietro Delli Guanti (BVM Racing) and Gabriel Bortoleto (Prema POwerteam).

Great battles until the last lap of the top four, Rosso, Pizzi, Ugran and Minì. Ugran in an attempt to conquer the first position goes on the dirt and for some curves does not keep pace and loses position on Pizzi and Minì, but as soon as the tires are cleaned he regains positions until he reclaims the second position in the very last and excited corners of the race.

Delli Guanti also made an extraordinary race in constant confrontation with Montoya, ending sixth right behind the Colombian. The top 4 hard-fought positions end with Rosso winning, followed by Ugran, Pizzi and Minì.

Rosso: "In qualifying 1 I made a mistake and I only started 9 so it was complex. In race 2 I started immediately in command and I'm happy. Then in the heat it was hard, even having to redo everything after the SC, but I'm happy and thank you to team and sponsors. "

Ugran "I improved a lot compared to last year. I lost positions to conquer the lead of the race, but I managed to recover with decision."

Pizzi "We have made changes to the car that have not rewarded us today. Some manoeuvres of my opponents in the final part of the race were, in my opinion, very to the limit, while I was careful to avoid accidents".

Race 3: Pizzi closes beautifully and wins the championship leadership

Pizzi overtakes Minì at the start and maintains the leadership ahead of the Sicilian and Beganovic.

Gabriele Minì (Prema Powerteam and member of ACI Team Italia) is starting his third pole position thanks to amazing qualifications. At his side is Francesco Pizzi (Van Amersfoort Racing) and behind them Andrea Rosso (Cram Motorsport) and Dino Beganovic (Prema Powerteam and driver of the Ferrari Driver Academy program).

At the start Pizzi starts better than Minì and gains the first position. Followed by Beganovic, Rosso and Filip Ugran (Jenzer Motorsport) who immediately attacked the Italian and after a few laps passed him.

Pizzi, Minì and Beganovic make the void behind them with Ugran at 5 seconds after 10 minutes of competition.

Rosso in difficulty is overtaken by Sebastian Montoya (Prema Powerteam) and Pietro Delli Guanti (BVM Racing). The first three always in unchanged positions but with Pizzi slightly longer on Mini, while Baganovic is attached to the Sicilian.

The race ends with a virtual safety car on the last lap, with the podium made up of Pizzi, Minì and Beganovic. Behind them Ugran, Montoya and Jesse Salmenauto (Bhai Tech Racing).

"I am delighted with the hard work done with the team and I must say that the path with the ACI Sport Federal School since last December has made me grow a lot in the transition from karting to formulas", comments Pizzi.

The ranking after the first appointment of 2020 sees Francesco Pizzi in the lead with 58 points, Minì with 55 and Ugran with 49.

The next round of the championship seven will take place in Imola on 29 and 30 August.
