The second Competition of the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship - OK & Junior was hit by rain during the last two timed sessions. Pole positions were secured on a dry track during the first sessions by Iacopo Martinese (ITA) in Junior and David Cosma Cristofor (ROU) in OK. The two timed series of the first FIA Karting Academy Trophy Competition took place in the rain, with Dan Allemann (CHE) the fastest.

Whether it was the large gaps between the fastest drivers or the relative underperformance of some of the best, Qualifying Practice at the FIA Karting event in Cremona (ITA) created a surprising situation for the rest of the competition. Parolin Motorsport's energy since the beginning of the season was rewarded with a great podium finish for Rene Lammers in the opening race of the FIA Karting European Championship - OK in Valencia and his 2nd position in the provisional standings. Anatoly Khavalkin’s return to 9th place is also good news. In the Junior class, Zac Drummond put in a remarkable performance, regularly finishing in the top five in the heats, 8th in the Final and 6th in the championship.

Jimmy Helias has just finished his first full European campaign in OK-Junior, a category in which he’s part of the strongest world hopes at the age of only 13! He has made rapid consistent progress to the point that the young Frenchman was battling for the podium in the final event of the FIA European Karting Championship in Italy after clinching a spectacular pole position! The start to the 2022 racing season of Champions of the Future couldn’t have been better than this, with fresh track in the international calendar for the new Winter Series!

Two-time Australian Champion Harry Arnett has been selected as Australia’s representative in the 2022 FIA Karting Academy Trophy. The Victorian will be one of 51 drivers aged between 12 and 14 years of age from all over the world participating in the three-round Series in identical world-leading equipment supplied by the OTK Kart Group.

One week after Enzo Deligny's victory in the Junior class, Anatoly Khavalkin reached 3rd place in the Junior World Championship on the same circuit of Campillos. The final round of this year’s Champions of the Future series took place in the sunny Campillos, on the South of Spain, next to Malaga. A record number of drivers took part in the event, with over 60 OK drivers in attendance and the Juniors even exceeding 100 drivers! The OK category was absolutely dominated by Nikola Tsolov from the Qualifying Practice all the way till the final, with the Bulgarian talent being practically unbeatable. In Junior it looked to be a similar case with David Walther, but in the final Enzo Deligny found that little extra necessary to clinch the victory!

Their Exprit Noesis R chassis sets the best time in the "Junior" qualifying session on the occasion of the last round of the FIA Karting European Championship, reserved for OK and OKJ classes. Their driver Edoardo Ludovico Villa, in the final, completes a good recovery in the "Senior" class.
