The first of two FIA Karting European Championship events - KZ & KZ2, as well as the first of three FIA Karting Academy Trophy events will take place from 17th-20th June 2021 in Germany at the ProKart Raceland circuit in Wackersdorf.

In the morning the temperature was already over 30°C on the Wackersdorf track, and the 18 qualifying heats on the programme for Saturday 19th June proved to be highly spectacular. Frenchman Emilien Denner consolidated his domination of the FIA Karting European Championship - KZ by winning twice. The FIA Karting European Championship - KZ2 was led at this stage by Dutchman Senna Van Walstijn, while Sri Lankan Yevan David took the lead in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy.

At the end of the spectacular Finals, the Frenchman Jeremy Iglesias was crowned FIA Karting World Champion - KZ. The Italian Simone Cunati won the FIA Karting International Super Cup - KZ2 and the Israel's Ariel Elkin won the FIA Karting Academy Trophy Final, while the American Connor Zilisch won the Trophy.

The Friday, 14th August initially experienced stifling temperatures and high humidity. The approach of a storm delayed the running of the FIA Karting Competition in Adria a few minutes before the start of Qualifying Practice. The programme resumed after a one-hour break, in much cooler weather. In the FIA Karting European Championship - KZ, Irlando (ITA) took pole position, while Albanese (ITA) dominated the KZ2 category and Al Azhari (ARE) was the fastest in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy.

The Circuit South Garda Karting has staged the event that awarded the FIA Karting World Championship KZ to the Dutch driver Marijn Kremers on BirelArt-Tm-Bridgestone and the International Super Cup KZ2 to the French Emilien Denner on Sodi-Tm-Bridgestone. The victory in Academy Trophy went to Singapore’s Christian Ho, but the title to the Lithuanian Kajus Siksnelis. The World Karting Championship will kick off on Wednesday, September 18th at the South Garda Karting circuit. The Live Timing feed will be active since free practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Qualifying will follow on Friday, heats on Saturday and Sunday morning as the finals will close the event on Sunday afternoon. 

The Lonato track made its return to the international calendar last year with the organisation of the second Competition of the FIA ​​Karting European Championship - KZ & KZ2, but we need to go back to 1996 for the last World meeting on the South Garda Karting circuit with the CIK-FIA World Championship for Formula A and Super A. The Competition, which will take place from 19th to 22nd September on the most popular Italian circuit, is, therefore, a highly anticipated event in the world of karting.
