Gunskirchen, Austria – ProKart Raceland, Wackersdorf becomes the backdrop for a fresh take on karting from July 05 to 06, 2025, as BRP-Rotax launches its first-ever Rotax Life Challenge powered by TRAX – a casual, community-driven event that blends fun, data, coaching, and the spirit of grassroots racing.
Unlike traditional competitions, the Rotax Life Challenge isn’t a race in the conventional sense. It’s a pop-up experience for karting enthusiasts of all levels – from beginners to hobby racers and even seasoned competitors. The challenge is hosted within the TRAX App, BRP-Rotax's new digital performance platform, offering participants a chance to analyse their driving, compete on skill, and win a TRAX Device – all without the structure of an official race event.

What is Rotax TRAX?
TRAX is your smart karting companion, combining GPS-based tracking with powerful performance analysis. With just a device mounted on your kart and a smartphone app, TRAX shows where you’re gaining or losing time, helps visualise racing lines, and calculates a Driver Score – a skill-based metric that's all about how well you drive, not how fast your kart is.
The Rotax Life Challenge takes full advantage of this system, inviting participants to compete on Driver Score alone – no transponders, no timekeeping teams, no formal scrutineering. Just real driv-ers on real laps, using technology to improve and have fun.
TRAX as a Tool for Track-Based Racing Communities
The Rotax Life Challenge also highlights a growing opportunity for race track operators and local karting clubs and even individuals. Thanks to TRAX, it’s now easier than ever to host digital rac-ing challenges and community competitions – without the regulatory overhead of official race for-mats.
From a single TRAX device and a shared leaderboard to full coaching integration and Driver Score-based contests, the platform turns any open practice day into a gamified learning experience. With TRAX, we’re putting powerful analysis tools into the hands of everyday racers – and helping build stronger local karting communities in the process.
What is Rotax Life?
While BRP-Rotax is known globally for its professional-level Rotax MAX Challenge race series and the annual RMC Grand Finals, the Rotax Life initiative brings attention to the broader karting eco-system.
From new drivers discovering the sport to weekend racers chasing their next personal best, Rotax Life celebrates casual karting as the heart of the racing world. And with events like this, powered by TRAX, Rotax is taking concrete steps to include and empower hobby drivers at every stage.
