In relatively hot weather, the final day of the Italian round at Cremona saw Dutchman Rene Lammers win the FIA Karting European Championship - OK, while Ukrainian Oleksandr Bondarev took victory in the FIA European Karting Championship - Junior. Spaniard Hugo Marti was the overall winner of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy.

The temperature wasn't the only thing to rise during the Qualifying Heats which have been taking place since Friday afternoon in Italy, during a competition that on Sunday afternoon will decide the winners of the FIA Karting European Championships - OK and Junior as well as the FIA Karting Academy Trophy. Race direction and the stewards are keeping a close eye on compliance with the regulations.

Whether it was the large gaps between the fastest drivers or the relative underperformance of some of the best, Qualifying Practice at the FIA Karting event in Cremona (ITA) created a surprising situation for the rest of the competition. Louis Iglesias (FRA) was fastest in OK, Thibaut Ramaekers (BEL) dominated Junior Qualifying, and Wojciech Woda (POL) secured pole position in the Academy Trophy.

The competition was fierce during the Qualifying Heats on the new circuit in Rødby, Denmark. Kean Nakamura-Berta (GBR) and Alex Powell (JAM) occupied the top two positions in the OK category, while Iacopo Martinese (ITA) took the lead in OK-Junior. The selection will continue on Sunday morning during the Super Heats, while two Qualifying Heats are still to be contested in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy. Santino Panetta (ARG) and Vasileios Apostolidis (GRC) are currently level on points at the top of the standings.

Under cloudy skies but on a dry track, Qualifying at Rødby rewarded three new drivers. Contrary to the forecasts, Saturday was a day of good weather with clear skies and temperatures in excess of 20°C. Gabriel Gomez (ITA) made a perfect run in the Qualifying Heats of the FIA Karting European Championship - OK, while Oleksandr Bondarev (UKR) did the same in the FIA Karting European Championship - Junior. The FIA Karting Academy Trophy drivers are due to compete in their last two heats on Sunday morning, but the provisional standings so far give the lead to Marius Barry-Berg (NOR). The Super Heats are on the OK and OK-Junior programme on Sunday morning.
