PREMA Racing set for three-car Formula Trophy campaign

PREMA Racing will be competing in the 2025 Formula Trophy championship with a three-car lineup. The F4-based series, which expanded the previous single-race format in 2024, returns for its second season with a three-round calendar beginning this weekend at Dubai Autodrome.

The lineup will feature two full-time entries for Alp Aksoy and Beco Bernoldi. Both the Turkish and the Brazilian will make their first foray in car racing, moving up from the PREMA karting team, as they were recently announced for a full-season 2026 Formula 4 programme. They will use the Trophy as an introduction and a preparation for their coming endeavours.

For the first and third round of the series, the rookie duo will be joined by American female racer Payton Westcott, coming from a promising debut season in Italian Formula 4. For the second event, supporting the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix at Yas Marina, the team will welcome Oleksandr Bondarev, who will also be competing with PREMA in the Italian F4 and E4 Championships.

The three events will cover consecutive weekends, and the series finale will once again be held at Yas Marina from December 11th to 13th.

Angelo Rosin - Team Founder

"The Formula Trophy provides drivers with a good way to gain some racing experience and stay active during the long offseason of Formula 4. It's a great opportunity for Alp and Beco to get a head start. On the other hand, Payton will be able to display her potential, while Sasha will have the chance to leave a strong impression on the biggest stage in a Formula 1 Grand Prix. Everyone is looking forward to the start."

Season Schedule
28-30 November - Dubai Autodrome
5-7 December - Yas Marina Circuit
11-13 December - Yas Marina Circuit
