Valerio Rinicella will make his debut with CL Motorsport at the opening round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, set to take place next week at the Misano World Circuit. This will mark CL Motorsport’s first-ever race appearance, kicking off a foundational year in 2025 for the Italian outfit as they refine and strengthen their racing operations.
Rinicella brings with him a wealth of experience at the wheel of the Tatuus T-318, having competed in the 2024 FRMEC, the 2024 FRECA, and the prestigious FIA Formula Regional World Cup – Macau Grand Prix. The Italian driver will step in for Zachary David for this round.
David Li, CL Motorsport’s Team Owner Representative, commented: “2025 is a crucial year for us a season of preparation and growth as we build towards our future in motorsport. We see FRECA as the best environment for this journey. Our plan includes rotating several drivers throughout the season, and Valerio is among them. I’m confident his experience will bring valuable insight and added strength to the team.”
Valerio Rinicella added: “I’m excited to take on this opportunity in Misano. I know both the track and the car well, and I’m looking forward to what promises to be an exciting weekend.”
The team is thrilled to officially launch its racing journey at the Misano World Circuit, the first of three home-soil rounds in Italy.
