Camp Company has announced the 2020 Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy calendar

After another exciting racing season for the Rotax Max Euro Trophy in 2019, which visited four great venues this year and lasted around five months, the newly-revamped calendar again goes to four premium tracks across the European landscape, starting next Easter. The calendar was announced live via the championship’s official Facebook page on the evening of the season’s penultimate day of racing in Germany. 

The “Home of Champions,” Belgium’s Karting Genk, also the home of GKS Lemmens Power, will once again kick-start the new campaign across the Easter holiday weekend, with the first weekend of Rotax action taking place between the 10th and 12th of April. 

The Veneto region of northern Italy returns back for its second successive season, as the best of the European Rotax competitors head back to Adria Karting Raceway, based just over an hour from Venice Marco Polo airport, between the 29th and 31st of May. 

The United Kingdom makes its first long-awaited appearance in the brief Euro Trophy history, as the “Home of British Karting,” Paul Fletcher International, will be the third different circuit in three seasons to head onto the calendar. The circuit, which celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2019, will host the third round between the 10th and 12th and July, as Sweden falls off the calendar after the first two years. 

Germany’s Prokart Raceland circuit, based within the idyllic Bavarian countryside in Wackersdorf, keeps its place as the final round of the season, which will be hosted between the 4th and 6th of September. 

Further developments include the introduction of a fifth class, with Micro Max set to provisionally take part in three of the four events scheduled for next year, along with series commentator Alex Goldschmidt announcing his return for a third successive season. 

‘We are extremely happy with the 2019 season,” explained series organiser Meik Wagner from Camp Company GmbH, who was pleased with the increase in drivers in the second year of the Euro Trophy itself. “The very first RMC Euro Trophy Open held in Genk (Belgium), in spring, was an absolute success too. We are already working hard on the preparations for 2020.”
