As always at this level, the sporting intensity was at its peak, with a world title awarded on a single event, in an atmosphere combining suspense and twists and turns. The unpredictable weather on the south-east coast of Sweden did nothing to make things easier for the 217 drivers taking part (109 in OK-Junior, 108 in OK), adding an element of uncertainty to the competition.

No stranger to the podium at major international events, Belgium's Thibaut Ramaekers claimed the top spot this afternoon. A year after losing the title on the last lap, Britain's Noah Baglin bounced back in OK-Junior, dominating his rivals at the decisive moment of the competition.

The 2025 FIA Karting World Championship - OK and OK-Junior will take place in Sweden from 11th to 14th September at the Åsum Ring in Kristianstad. The field will be substantial, with 109 drivers expected in OK-Junior and 108 in OK. Forty-five nations from five continents will be represented.

In Sweden, the two FIA Karting World Championship titles - OK & Junior - are more coveted than ever on the spectacular Åsum Ring. The intensity of the 30 Qualifying Heats held from Friday afternoon to Saturday evening, in very pleasant weather conditions, clearly demonstrated this. An initial selection took place with 72 drivers qualifying for Sunday's Super Heats in each category. There will now be only 36 in each Final, out of an initial total of 109 in OK-Junior and 105 in OK. Britain's Noah Baglin in the 12-14 age group and Australia's James Anagnostiadis in OK lead the intermediate standings.
