Following an action-packed weekend at the Hungaroring, the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine now moves to the iconic Circuit Paul Ricard for Round 5 of the 2025 season. The title fight remains wide open, with Matteo De Palo (Trident Motorsport) and Freddie Slater (Prema Racing) separated by just four points at the top of the standings: 122 to 118.

Under sunny skies, Hiyu Yamakoshi (Van Amersfoort Racing) topped the timesheets with a best lap of 1:57.470, confirming the Japanese driver’s strong form ahead of the championship’s fifth season.
