When the FIA announced earlier this year that the first-ever Karting Arrive and Drive World Cup would come to the Asia-Pacific region, accessibility, affordability and inclusion were set at the heart of what has been a landmark event on the International Sporting Calendar. 
 

The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the global governing body for motor sport and the federation for mobility organisations worldwide, has today confirmed that the inaugural FIA Karting Arrive and Drive World Cup will be one of the most inclusive, accessible and affordable motor sport events on the international calendar.
 

The FIA and ACI are proud to announce the creation of the FIA Formula Regional European Championship, a brand-new, FIA-supported single-seater competition set to commence in 2026. This marks a crucial next step in the FIA’s structured talent development pathway. The implementation of a new car in 2026 – the FR Gen2 – will mark a significant evolution in the junior single-seater landscape, signalling a strategic moment for redefining the Formula Regional level in Europe.

Over 150 competitors to take part, representing 16 nations, in fierce competition across six categories.

At the occasion of the 2024 FIA General Assemblies week in Kigali, Rwanda, the FIA has announced the creation of an unprecedented Global Karting Plan that establishes a clearer and more accessible pathway into and throughout the FIA Karting system. Karting is the entry point for the vast majority of motorsport competitors, and the plan focuses on increasing accessibility to the discipline that will provide equal opportunities to drivers all over the world.
