At the end of May, Andy Ratel was in Spain near Zaragoza for the 2nd round of the IAME Euro Series. The talented French driver knows the Zuera international karting circuit very well and looked set to challenge for the podium. Unfortunately, a collision ended in a spectacular spin, from which Andy recovered with a broken collarbone; quite a setback in the Pantano Racing Team driver's season! Fortunately, the driver from Cluses in the Alps is much better today and is already thinking about his next race...
 

Another success for Kart Republic and continued leadership of the European Championship

From 5th to 8th June, FIA Karting visited the Viterbo circuit, which had never before been used for the Championships. The sun, the heat and the grip were there, as was the performance of the KR-IAME packages, so the results followed. In the OK-Junior class, the VictoryLane team celebrated the victory of Frenchman Samuel Hugon, who was joined on the podium by Dean Hoogendoorn.

Christian Costoya’s European Championship lead was strengthened this weekend at the third round out of four at Viterbo in Italy, where the Spanish star qualified on pole and won all his races, with team-mate Beau Lowette matching his pace. Junior driver Bruno Blanco is also rapidly gaining in strength and took his first FIA Karting top ten.
