Having already set the fastest time in his group during Friday morning’s Free Practice, Danilo Albanese was awarded the pole position trophy a few hours later with a magnificent lap of 50.867 seconds. A time the Italian driver improved upon further to 50.687 seconds in Saturday’s warm-up!

After many races in Italy since the start of the season, the teams relying on the KR brand set their sights on Spain and the Lucas Guerrero circuit in Chiva for the second round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series. On this track, which has already brought so much success to the Italian manufacturer Kart Republic in the past, a sensational overall result rewarded the outstanding level of performance of the KR-IAME karts: a one-two in OK with Noah Baglin and Niklas Schaufler, and another in OK-Junior with Will Green and Priam Bruno.

At the start of the season, Kart Republic’s aim in the OK and OK-Junior categories was to achieve maximum competitiveness at the opening round of the FIA Karting European Championship. Clearly, this objective was achieved at the World Circuit in La Conca, with four podium finishes, including two victories!

The Champions of the Future Academy Program launches its first dedicated UK series at Kart Silverstone from 26 to 29 March. For the first time, Mini 60 and OK-N will headline a standalone national series.
