An exciting Race 1 marked the sixth round of the 2025 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine at Imola this weekend. On the track that just three months ago hosted the Formula 1 Made in Italy and Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, Enzo Deligny claimed his second win of the season at the wheel of a R-ace GP car. The victory allowed the Frenchman to reclaim third place in the overall standings, now trailing only current championship leader Freddie Slater (Prema Racing) and Matteo De Palo (Trident Motorsport).

It was Enzo Deligny (R-ace GP) who set the pace, clocking a best time of 1:58.862, leading a tightly packed field with 12 drivers covered by less than a second.

Following an action-packed weekend at the Hungaroring, the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine now moves to the iconic Circuit Paul Ricard for Round 5 of the 2025 season. The title fight remains wide open, with Matteo De Palo (Trident Motorsport) and Freddie Slater (Prema Racing) separated by just four points at the top of the standings: 122 to 118.

On a warm afternoon with stable track conditions, the Belgian rookie, who is competing in his first season in single-seater racing, stopped the clocks at 1:39.107, further underlining his rapid adaptation to the category.
