Setting the fastest time in qualifying was only the beginning of what would turn into an exceptional weekend. On Sunday, young karting talent Milo Cornil won the fifth round of the IAME Series Benelux. At the Genk circuit, the eleven-year-old from Vaudignies was the standout driver in the Mini class, making it his second victory of the season. “When I crossed the finish line, I was really happy to have scored points for the championship and to be on the podium,” says Milo.

He had dominated every session of the weekend, so his victory in Saturday’s final almost seemed inevitable. At the Genk circuit, the 13-year-old from Givry was the strongest driver throughout the fifth round of the IAME Series Benelux. He secured his first win of the season in IAME X30 Junior.

CRG dominates round 1 of the Euro KZ Championship

CRG returned to the top step this weekend at the Genk circuit in Belgium, host of Round 1 of the FIA European Championship KZ-KZ2. Pace and outright speed were evident from the very first free practice sessions in the premier KZ category, with Viktor Gustafsson setting the benchmark and Adrian Malheiro confirming the competitiveness of the CRG-TM package.

From 5th to 8th July 2023, the 12th edition of the SWS International Finals introduced a new destination to the 374 drivers who had qualified throughout the world during the 2022 SWS season. In Slovakia, the races were extremely hotly contested, sometimes even a little too hot in the Sprint categories. The competition was very intense, and the winners were often revealed in the final meters of the Finals. Many positive comments rewarded the efforts of the 3MK Events organising team, who worked hard to satisfy the vast majority of participants.

Perfect conditions for Qualifying Practice in Genk

The first round of the FIA Karting European Championship - KZ & KZ2, as well as the FIA Karting Academy Trophy, benefited from ideal conditions during Qualifying Practice on the afternoon of Friday 13th May in Belgium. Sunny skies and a pleasant temperature close to 20° made for a high quality and very sporting confrontation on the Genk circuit. David Trefilov (DEU) in KZ2, Guillaume Bouzar (LUX) in Academy and Emilien Denner (FRA) in KZ managed their sessions perfectly to take the three pole positions of the day.
