The 2025 IAME Euro Series drew to a close with its fourth and final round at Mariembourg, where the weather was forecast for a wet weekend but instead delivered a mix of conditions that kept teams guessing. Rain played its part early, shaking up Friday’s qualifying and the opening heats, while staying away on Saturday and making its return on Sunday with light drizzles and sudden bursts of sunshine that created ever-changing grip levels. The most dramatic twist came in the Junior final, where a shower during the formation lap sparked chaos and forced bold tyre choices. Between the shifting skies and the fierce on-track battles, Mariembourg provided a fittingly unpredictable backdrop for the season finale.

Spirgel, Thien and Le Marchand remain leaders

Already on pole position on Friday, Matteo Spirgel (FRA) in KZ and Jayden Thien (NED) in KZ2 at the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship, as well as Maël Le Marchand (FRA) at the Academy Trophy - Junior, managed to retain their leading positions at the end of Saturday's Qualifying Heats. There were 13 heats in total, which produced some exciting races.

Three drivers were smiling broadly from the podium in Sarno at the end of the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship. Pedro Hiltbrand, who had already won the opening race in Spain, is in an excellent position in the overall KZ standings ahead of the final competition in Germany in July. In KZ2, Maksim Orlov is in exactly the same situation, after his comprehensive domination in the Final at the foot of Vesuvius. In KZ2 Masters, the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship was held over a single competition. Antonio Piccioni emerged victorious after a last lap with many twists and turns.
