The 211 participants started the Free Practice sessions with great ambitions, despite changing weather conditions throughout the sessions. The Cremona track was not completely dry when some of the drivers took to the track for Qualifying, forcing the teams to make difficult choices. In the Lombardy region of Italy, South African William Marshall in OK-N, Italian Gioele Girardello in OK-N Junior and Lithuanian Nojus Stasionis in Academy-Junior achieved the fastest times. Around 30 teams representing 15 different countries (including China, Germany, Czech Republic, Romania, France and Belgium) have already officially registered and in the next 2 weeks, the CRG organization intends to close registration by assigning the last 12 available places. Daniel Vasile (Italkart) won the Pro Shifter category, continuing from Matheus Morgatto's domination until two laps from the finish of the Final after an incredible comeback. Pedro Hiltbrand meanwhile made up five places to take 2nd place on the podium. Cristian Bertuca maintained a very fast pace throughout the race, but was unlucky in the Final, while Jordon Lennox made a remarkable comeback by finishing in the top 15 after moving up six places.
