Birelart shows determination at the FIA Karting World Championship in Kristianstad

The 2025 FIA Karting World Championship for the OK and OK-Junior categories took place from 11th to 14th September at the historic Åsum Ring in Kristianstad, Sweden. As always at this level, the sporting intensity was at its peak, with a world title awarded on a single event, in an atmosphere combining suspense and twists and turns. The unpredictable weather on the south-east coast of Sweden did nothing to make things easier for the 217 drivers taking part (109 in OK-Junior, 108 in OK), adding an element of uncertainty to the competition.

The Kristianstad circuit crowned two promising young motorsport talents at the Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Championship - OK & Junior. No stranger to the podium at major international events, Belgium's Thibaut Ramaekers claimed the top spot this afternoon. A year after losing the title on the last lap, Britain's Noah Baglin bounced back in OK-Junior, dominating his rivals at the decisive moment of the competition.

In Sweden, everything is in place for a great sporting event with the 2025 Mondokart.com World Championship – OK & Junior. The rain on Thursday morning at the start of private practice quickly gave way to much more pleasant weather, and the Qualifying sessions took place in excellent conditions at the Kristianstad circuit. An initial ranking has emerged, with most of the favourites in contention. Recently crowned European Champion, Dutchman Dean Hoogendoorn set the fastest time in OK-Junior. In OK, Ireland's Daniel Kelleher was the fastest. A total of 30 Qualifying Heats are on the schedule before Sunday's Final stages.

Birelart faces adversity in Rødby

Birelart travelled to Denmark this weekend for the fourth of five rounds of the Champions of the Future Euro Series, held at the Rødby circuit, which appeared on the international calendar for the first time in 2023. From Thursday's Qualifying sessions to Saturday's Finals, the team had to fight relentlessly, but failed to secure a podium finish in OK despite some impressive performances.
