The FIA World KZ Championship at Le Mans saw CRG claim its 28th World Title, in a landmark year celebrating the 40th anniversary of the brand’s foundation. Viktor Gustafsson delivered a perfect weekend for the CRG Racing Team, starting with an outstanding pole position in qualifying, setting the fastest time in all three sectors.

The most important event of the season for the Shifter categories, the FIA Karting World Championships for KZ, KZ2 and KZ2 Masters, takes place this week, from 17 to 20 September at the Le Mans circuit in France. Located in the Loire region and world-famous for the circuit that hosts the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, the city will become the capital of international karting as the most prestigious titles of the year in the three KZ categories are decided.

The World Championship event in Franciacorta will undoubtedly remain one of the most memorable FIA Karting events of recent years. All the ingredients were there: ideal weather conditions for the season in northern Italy, a magnificent field of 250 drivers, non-stop action on the track, a large audience around the track and watching the live stream, and superb organisation masterfully led by the Franciacorta Karting Track team. Three drivers enjoyed a great first. Dutchman Senna Van Walstijn won the Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Championship - KZ, Maksim Orlov dominated the FIA Karting World Cup - KZ2 and Angelo Lombardo held off Davide Fore in the FIA Karting International Super Cup - KZ2 Masters.

Three drivers were smiling broadly from the podium in Sarno at the end of the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship. Pedro Hiltbrand, who had already won the opening race in Spain, is in an excellent position in the overall KZ standings ahead of the final competition in Germany in July. In KZ2, Maksim Orlov is in exactly the same situation, after his comprehensive domination in the Final at the foot of Vesuvius.
