PREMA Racing signs Sharp for 2026 FIA F3 season
PREMA Racing announces that Louis Sharp will compete with the team in the 2026 FIA Formula 3 Championship. The 18-year-old driver is set for his second year in the series after sealing off his maiden season with three points finishes.
Born in Nottingham, UK, Sharp then moved to New Zealand, where he grew up and started racing. He had a successful karting career down under before making an early transition to single-seaters in 2020 and competing in New Zealand until 2021.
He joined the European and Middle Eastern racing scene in 2022, winning the F4 UAE Trophy. In 2023, he took the British F4 title, which was followed by the 2024 GB3 Championship title. For 2025, he made his FIA Formula 3 debut.
Sharp has already joined the team in post-season testing to get ready for the 2026 opener at Melbourne.

Rene Rosin - Team Principal
“We think Louis is a really promising racer. He achieved great success at a very young age and showed that there is more to come from him. We are confident he will merge with the team well from the start and that he will be a great fit with how we operate. He has the potential to achieve impressive results in his second year in the series, and we are determined to maximize that potential as soon as possible.”

"I'm very, very happy and excited for next season. PREMA has a very rich history of winning championships and developing drivers for Formula 1. To be able to say that I'm going to be a PREMA driver next year makes me proud, and already working with the team, I can see how motivated they are and how much they want to win. I'm really looking forward to having a strong season with them. I'm really proud to be here."
