SJM Theodore PREMA Racing will take off from the front row of the 72nd Macau Grand Prix Qualification Race tomorrow at the Guia Circuit. Freddie Slater performed brilliantly in Day 2 of qualifying, in a session that proved extremely challenging. Overnight rain meant that the track was not particularly quicker than on Thursday, and contacts with the wall led to multiple stoppages. That had an effect on how the results unfolded.

In recent days, CRG officially announced the date and location of its flagship rental event: the 24 Hours Karting of Italy will be held on March 14–15 in Italy at the Castelletto di Branduzzo circuit.

The third and closing round of the WSK Final Cup will get underway next November 18-23 at the South Garda Karting circuit. The closing challenge of the year will award the titles in all categories.      

Chip Ganassi Racing has signed Cam Becker to its driver development program. At 11 years old, Becker is the first driver signed to the new program, which was announced by the team late last year. Becker is the youngest ever champion of the Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series. Winning six races and scoring 11 podium finishes in 15 races, Becker won the championship in late October. Next year, he will continue to compete and test across multiple open-wheel disciplines.

With a scintillating drive on Thursday’s Qualifying 1 session, Freddie Slater led the opening day of the 2025 Macau Grand Prix. While a late red flag forced drivers to come back on track for one final push, the British sensation posted an excellent lap of 2m15.708 to beat his closest competitor by more than 3 tenths of a second.
