Third win of the season for Dino Beganovic (Prema Racing), who had a perfect weekend in Monte Carlo, winning also in Race 2 and consolidating his leadership in the standings of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.

The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine fired up its engines this morning in Monaco, where the first race took place during one of the most fascinating weekends of the season.

The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine will restart the engines on the weekend of May 28 and 29 with the Formula 1 on the historical urban circuit of Monaco. The first race of the weekend is scheduled at 11.40 a.m. over a distance of 30 minutes plus one lap to complete. The second race of the Formula Regional by Renault will be held on Sunday 29th of May from 08:35 - 09:10. The races will be livestreamed on the series’ YouTube and Facebook channels.

The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine resumes after a three-week break for rounds 5 and 6 at Monaco as part of one of the most important events of the Formula 1 calendar.

Race 1 for the third round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine season was held on Saturday morning at Monte Carlo. Both JD Motorsport drivers were new to the iconic street circuit, and they only had one practice to learn it, the 50-minute Free session scheduled on Thursday. Then, they immediately had to face the qualifying session, which is crucial in Monaco since overtaking is virtually impossible. 
 

The final classification of the QP changes due to the cancellation of all lap times of the driver Franco Colapinto as a consequence of technical non-conformity of his car. The MP Motorsport driver has decided to retire the car and not participate to the race. This also determines that with 32 drivers competing, both the 12th positioned drivers in QP of Group A and Group B will compete in Race 1 and Race 2, so Nicola Marinangeli (Arden motorsport) will be at the start also tomorrow.

The 30′ qualifying for each of Group A and Group B have seen best lap time of the driver from Barbados Zane Maloney, first of Group B, while Isack Hadjar had been the first of Group A, with the conquer respectively of pole position in Race 2 and Race 1.

Bullet Athletes Oliver Goethe and Franco Colapinto will line up on the Formula Regional European Championship grid sporting the iconic blue and orange livery this weekend.

A change to the calendar of the new Series sets the start of the Championship in Imola on 16-18 April, the first of three F1® support races this year

Some necessary changes and improvements to the 2021 calendar of the Formula Regional by Alpine have been made, while the organization of the new Championship is proceeding fast in the final steps towards what is definitely going to be an extraordinary season, thanks to the joint efforts of ACI Sport and Alpine.
