The Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine weekend in Imola ended with Gabriele Minì’s victory in Race 2. 

The race of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine has been full of twists and turns in Imola, during the second of the ten double appointments scheduled in the 2022 calendar.

Today, Italian racing team, Iron Lynx, concluded its opening weekend of Italian Formula 4 action at the famous Imola circuit with Iron Dame, Maya Weug, and Ivan Domingues gaining valuable knowledge for the season ahead. 

Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine heads to Imola next weekend (6-8 May) for the second instalment of what is already shaping up to be a year to remember.

10 rounds on F1 tracks for the second extraordinary season of the FIA certified Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, co-organized by ACI Sport and Alpine.

After the fantastic racing in Imola, at the opening Round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine – certified by FIA, on the Enzo and Dino Ferrari F1 circuit, with the excellent wins by the Spanish David Vidales (Prema Powerteam) and the Swiss Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix), teams and drivers are now already at the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya, in the occasion of the Formula 1 Aramco Gran Premio De España 2021.

There could not be a better start for the new Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine – certified by FIA than the one on the 16, 17 and 18 of April at the Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit in the same weekend of the second appointment of the F1, the Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio del Made in Italy e Dell'Emilia Romagna 2021.

A change to the calendar of the new Series sets the start of the Championship in Imola on 16-18 April, the first of three F1® support races this year

The first collective tests of the opening season of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine will take place tomorrow and Thursday

After a year that, despite the pandemic, has confirmed the success of the Italian F4, the calendar for 2021 is now ready.

Thanks to an excellent start from third place on the grid, Renault Sport Academy driver Caio Collet (R-ace GP) wins in front of motor racing’s elite at Imola. The Brazilian driver was followed by rookie Alex Quinn (Arden Motorsport) and pole winner Lorenzo Colombo (Bhaitech Racing) to close the gap to eight points from the Formula Renault Eurocup leader, Victor Martins (ART Grand Prix), who was fifth today.

Hamda Al Qubaisi tamed the mighty Imola track this weekend in round 2 of the Italian Formula 4 Championship. Despite not knowing the track, one of the toughest on the schedule, the Emirati female racer got up to speed and finished the weekend oh a high note.

At the Imola racing track in round 2 off the Italian Formul 4 Championship Andrea Rosso is spectacular in attacking the pair of Red Bull Junior Team drivers, Edgar and Crawford, conquering the first position. Behind him an exceptional Pizzi and Edgar who obtain the podium.

For round 2 in the Italian Formula 4 Championchip on the Imola racing track it was a difficult race for everyone with the track getting wet just before the start, fitting of rain tires by everyone, rolling start and the safety car entry twice. In the end the podium sees Edgar, Crawford and Rosso, the Italian also first in the Rookie classification.

At the start of Round 2 in the Italian F4 Championship on the famous Imola racetrack Dino Beganovic is attacked after a few corners and overtaken by Jonny Edgar, who then goes long and is overtaken by Filip Ugran, who holds out until victory.

Hamda Al Qubaisi will be back running this weekend at Imola for Abu Dhabi Racing in the second round of the Italian Formula 4 Championship. The Emirati racer, back from a fruitful testing session at Zandvoort, will make her debut at the challenging Italian facility, a flowing, fast and exciting course on the hills just outside the city.

While the activities are proceeding rapidly for the restart of the championship, 7 appointments are confirmed and the new 2020 calendar is approved
