Spielberg, the home of the seventh round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine season, saw Francesco Pizzi revive what had started as a difficult weekend with a positive race. The 16-year-old Roman secured the seventh row of the grid in qualifying, stopping just half a second away from the pole position. 
 

Track conditions vary, yellow flags interrupt twice the 20 minutes session of qualifying practice 2, but nothing changes at the head of the standings, with the Swiss Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix – 1:31.193) setting an amazing lap time, 0.367 faster than his teammate, Gabriele Minì. Third is a fantastic Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport – 1:31.781), showing again a constant improvement of the driver and the team. Fourth is Mikhael Belov (G4 Racing – 1:31.949), who yesterday has brought the first points to his team, and is continuing to give strong support to G4 Racing in expressing their full potential. Fifth is Francesco Pizzi (Van Amersfoort Racing – 1:32.010), obtaining his best position in qualifying this year. Just behind the Italian driver is Oliver Goethe (MP Motorsport – 1:32.015).

Van Amersfoort Racing is very pleased to announce the renewed signing of Francesco Pizzi. The 16-year-old from Rome will compete in the recently established Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.
 

In race 3 between rain and light that slowly goes away the English Jonny Edgar wins, while in the championship confirmed the podium: Minì, Pizzi and Beganovic. With race 2 canceled due to rain, it is possible to go for race 3 right at the end of the day, taking advantage of the interruption of the rain and before dark. With the second and third place already defined behind the champion Minì, mathematically conquered by Francesco Pizzi and Dino Beganovic, the race makes history by itself.

The Italian of Van Amersfoort Racing at Monza is still the fastest and continues his recovery in the general classification against the leader Minì, second in race 2. Technical problems stop from the start the poleman Andrea Rosso.

Munich: The field is looking stronger after the short summer break, as ADAC Formula 4 welcomes some new faces at Hockenheim for the third race weekend. Among the newcomers are Italian outfit Iron Lynx fronted by a young female driver from the United Arab Emirates. Hamda Al Qubaisi (18) will be making her ADAC Formula 4 debut alongside team-mate Leonardo Fornaroli (15, Italy). SPORT1 will show at least one race live on free-to-air television every weekend, and there will be further coverage on SPORT1+. It has been an incredible Sunday for Francesco Pizzi at Misano. After taking a brilliant second place in race 1 on Saturday, the 15-year-old, fielded by team Van Amersfoort, delivered another podium with third place in race 2. Then in race 3, Pizzi took a masterclass win moving to the top of the driver championship.
