The 2025 edition of the Rental Kart World Contest organized by CRG will take place on the weekend of October 18-19 on the 7 Laghi Kart track in Castelletto di Branduzzo (Italy). The event, after two editions with a Sprint format, will return to its origins as in the first one in 2017 on the Lignano track, when, on the same weekend, both the drivers’ title was awarded with a Sprint race program, and the team title with an Endurance race. In two days, therefore, we will have two separate races: on Saturday the Sprint one in which over 160 drivers will compete in 3 different categories and the Endurance race, with over 30 crews taking part in it on Sunday.
The drivers’ title will be awarded on Saturday in a format that will include Free Practice, Qualifying Practice, two Eliminatory Heats, and the Final over 20′ + 1 lap. Points will be awarded to drivers at each stage of the event, from Qualifying Practice to the Final, and the driver with the highest score will be elected Champion. There will be three driver titles up for grabs, as happened in the 2024 edition: the Junior one (from 14 to 18 years old), the PRO-title for over 18 years and the Silver one for drivers over 45 and/or weighing 85 kg or more. The team title, however, will be awarded on Sunday with the classic Endurance race, which will include Practice in the morning (1H of Free Practice and 10’ of Qualifying Practice) and 6 hours of racing in the afternoon. There will be two Endurance titles up for grabs: PRO for the most competitive teams and Silver for the more amateur ones.
Teams can be made of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 drivers. The karts used during the weekend will be a fleet of brand new CRG Centurion with adjustable seat and pedals and Honda 390cc engines. This Contest will essentially be a Final for all CRG events organized by the partner tracks, but it will also be open to all Rental Kart enthusiasts. The meeting will attract drivers and teams from many countries, for an international challenge of the highest sporting level. Participants can register for the Sprint race only or the Endurance race only, which will have separate registrations, but obviously they can also take part in both events on the same weekend. On Friday, October 17, optional Free Practice will be scheduled for drivers registered for both races (Sprint and Endurance).
