Liam Carr is knocking on the door of a maiden KA2 Junior SP Tools Australian Kart Championship after an immaculate weekend in Newcastle, while double KZ2 Champion, Troy Loeskow, recorded a record-equalling career round win.

The international events continue week after week, and the trophies pile up on the shelves of the drivers and teams using KR Global Motorsport Company equipment. After successes in IAME and Rotax in the previous days, the WSK Super Master Series ended in Cremona with no less than 13 podiums in the Finals and in the general classification.

Officially presented at the end of 2017, the KR brand has had a meteoric rise, winning three FIA Karting World Championships and no less than seven European Championship titles in just five seasons! The Italian factory's chassis and all the teams representing the Kart Republic colours are back for another season, which promises to be even more successful. On the last weekend of January, Offenbach am Main in Germany was once again the centre of the karting world. The classic IKA Kartmesse trade fair hosted the world's largest kart exhibition for the 28th time, although in this new decade, the exhibition presented itself on a slightly smaller scale than in previous years. For the first time, the fair only opened six instead of seven halls.

Stan and Jorrit Pex are switching from CRG to Kart Republic this season. The Limburg brothers are expecting to give their racing a new boost at the top of international karting in 2019. They will continue to be powered by TM where they are supplied with factory engines, as well as using a number of self-prepared engines.

Finding the most promising drivers and guiding them to international success is the mission of the Rosberg Racing Academy. In Northern Italy, Andrea Kimi Antonelli's victory in OK-Junior at the prestigious Winter Cup more than ever confirms the accuracy of this project and the perfect organisation put in place by Nico Rosberg and the Kart Republic organisation, in partnership with Ravenol.
