The second half of the 2023 California ProKart Challenge was revised due to the arrival of Hurricane Hilary. The fourth stop of the Superkarts! USA regional series in August was scheduled to be a double-round weekend, hosting Rounds Four and Five. Due to the weather issues, Round Five was moved to the upcoming series finale weekend on September 22-24 at the Adams Motorsports Park in Riverside, California.

The change for the California ProKart Challenge finale weekend at the Adams Motorsports Park will feature three days of action. Five rounds of practice will be offered on Friday, September 22. Saturday will host Round Five of racing, including warm-up, qualifying, Pre-Final and Final. Sunday is a duplicate format to contest the sixth and final round of the California ProKart Challenge, including the race-day podium presentation – and new for the series – the 2023 championship podiums.

Two remaining rounds of racing helps to leave the championships still up for grabs in a number of categories. Two-time winner John Burke remains at the top of the HRT Driver Development KA100 Senior standings, leading by 74 points. Kane Martin and Aiden Kempf are the top challengers, both looking for their first wins of the 2023 season. Four straight wins has Keagan Kaminski at the top of the SpeedSense Motorsports KA100 Junior division. His point lead is 204 going into the final two rounds, with Shea Aldrich in second and Payton Westcott sitting third. Billy Musgrave remains the driver to beat in the Factory Karts Pro Shifter standings, leading by 130 points over Keawn Tandon with Liam Jones sitting third.

Round Two winner Matthew Cagle is the championship leader in the SuperSpeed Bearings Mini Swift class. Two-time winner McLaren Carroll is back by 114 points with Braydon Wagner a close third. It is a battle of two-time winners in the P1 Racing Engines Micro Swift standings. Drew Jensen holds the advantage over Aidan Go heading into the series finale. Jensen has the lead of 161 points, with Byron Borneman still with a chance to jump into the fight with two good final rounds. Ronnie Swaim is the championship leader in two categories heading into the series finale. Swaim has a 166-point advantage over Tony Rossetti in the Empire Karts X30 Master category. Then he has a 455-point advantage in the Nash Motorsportz KA100 Master class ahead of Craig Vasquez and Matthew Ostiguy. David De La Torre has run uncontested in Master Shifter so far this season. Classes for X30 Senior and X30 Junior are also available on the weekend, along with Open Shifter for Senior and Master drivers.

Race Pre-Entry remains open for the double-round weekend for the 2023 California ProKart Challenge program until the online registration deadline of Tuesday, September 19 at 11:59 pm PST.
