Energy Corse: A victory and a title to celebrate the return to competition
Energy Power is proving to be as formidable as ever, even after a long pause caused by the Coronavirus crisis. The resumption of international competitions was a new opportunity for Energy Corse to show its knowledge, professionalism and its level of results. At the end of a particularly well-rewarded meeting, the Russian Dmitry Matveev won the WSK Super Master Series title in 60 Mini, after having crossed the finish in 1st place in the Final on Saturday and 2nd in the Final on Sunday.
"After the exceptional health crisis we are going through, it was important that we could get back to the atmosphere of racing. As the organisation of the Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix shows, top-level motorsports are back and this is a real breath of fresh air for everyone," said Mick Panigada, the head of the Energy Corse team. "I congratulate the organisers for having done everything possible to ensure that this double competition can take place in the best possible infection control conditions. I'm already looking forward to the next meeting, hoping to see drivers who couldn't come to Adria and hopefully other competitors who want to find out more about our team, which is constantly looking for success."

On Sunday 5th July 2020, a new title was added to the Energy Corse team's already impressive list of achievements! The Russian driver Dmitry Matveev was undoubtedly the best performer of the meeting in the 60 Mini category at the wheel of his Energy Corse-TM. The leader during the first part of the heats, he was a bit disappointed to be only 68 thousandths ahead in the Prefinal. But in the Final, the young Russian showed his sense of attack and the performance of his equipment to brilliantly win on Saturday.
The last round of this WSK Super Master Series saw him take pole position, then win three out of four heats. Once again 2nd in his Prefinal, he logically took part in the fight for victory in the Final. With a view to the Championship, he secured a magnificent 2nd position, to finish his race with 349 points, 83 more than his closest rival! Dmitry Matveev had already climbed on the 3rd step of the podium in Lonato at the end of February, before the start of the pandemic.
Several top 10s for the Energy Corse brand
In this 60 Mini class, with 63 drivers registered in the north-east of Italy, the excellent overall results of the Energy chassis must be underlined. Antonio Apicella finished 4th in Saturday's Final. Francesco Amendola made a strong comeback to 6th in the Prefinal A on Sunday, while Marcus Saeter (Revolution Motorsport) equalled this performance in the Prefinal B. The Norwegian then moved up to 8th place in the Final, just behind Apicella. In the other categories, Robert De Haan (OK) were not as successful.
More podiums in Estonia
The DHR Estonia team was pleased with the brilliant results in the Estonian Championship, thanking the drivers for their performances, the technical staff for the great work done and the Energy Corse brand for the competitiveness of its equipment. After the second round, Theodor Toobal was in 1st place in Micro in front of Meryl Peldes, Andri Tsikin was the leader in Mini, as well as Ruben Volt in OK-Junior, a category in which Mark Dubnitski was 4th in front of Carmen Kraav. DHR Estonia is also 1st in the team ranking!
This second round of the Estonian Championship also saw Kaspar Kallasmas' success in KZ2 as well as Jako Sammo in Cadet, both naturally at the wheel of the Energy Corse chassis.
