Wackersdorf returns to the FIA ​​Karting calendar this year after hosting the 2017 World Championship. The Gabriel Thirouin Circuit of Angerville was chosen to host the French Karting Grand Prix, the first competition of the year for the 2019 FIA Karting European Championships - OK and OK-Junior which will take place from 19th to 21st April 2019. Near Paris, the Angerville track hosts an international race after having hosted the famous 2006 World Championship for Formula A and the U18 World Championship in 2012. Its 1198 m long recently re-homologated circuit has undergone slight adjustments to follow the evolution of standards, but still has its special character, both technical and selective.

The  Kart Grand Prix of France, organised from 18th to 21st April at Angerville, not far from Paris, opens the 2019 FIA ​​Karting European Championship - OK & Junior. In high temperatures for the season and the venue, the Qualifying Practices have established an initial hierarchy among the 147 Drivers present. Young Macéo Capietto (FRA) set the fastest time in OK-Junior, while the experienced Pedro Hiltbrand (ESP) was delighted with his pole position in OK.

The 2019 FIA Karting European Championships - OK and OK-Junior retain the usual pattern of four meetings in France, Belgium and Sweden. The list of entries for the first Competition in Angerville (FRA) confirms the attractiveness of the international categories with 163 Drivers registered, 73 in OK and 90 in OK-Junior. Five continents and 36 nationalities will be represented with distribution balanced between France, Finland and Italy, as the most numerous, as well as Russia, Spain, Great Britain and Sweden.

The name of Pedro Hiltbrand, Spanish driver from Blanes (Girona) born in May 1996, is strictly connected to that of CRG in International Karting. He has been competing among the fields of the Italian outfit for several seasons and won the OK World Title in 2016, the KZ2 International Super Cup and the OK European Championship. 

The CRG Racing Team announced two important drivers for the 2019 line-up and the race program for the next season.

Jorrit Pex, Fabian Federer and Gabriel Bortoleto have been rewarded for their results in season 2018 at the prize ceremony of the FIA Karting Champions in Geneva.

The dream team made by Paolo De Conto, Pedro Hiltbrand, Callum Bradshaw and Andrea Rosso secured the pole position and the third place in the race that named the winner of the FIA Karting Endurance Championship 2018.
