The Circuito Internacional de Zuera is hosting the first round of the Champions Of The Future, the newly born international competition organized by RGMMC and open to all CIK-FIA categories. The race meeting scheduled on the weekend July 16th - 19th will be a fundamental stage of the calendar, also in view of the FIA Karting European Championship OK and Junior, starting 2 weeks after on the same circuit.

The young Dutchman Thomas ten Brinke made a breakthrough on the international stage in 2018 before reaping the rewards of his talent and hard work the following year. Third in the FIA Karting European Championship - Junior, he went on to win the FIA Karting World Championship - Junior in Finland. Always loyal to the British team RFM, at the age of 15 he was planning to compete in OK for a full season. The coronavirus decided otherwise. The ASN of Sweden, Svenska Bilsportförbundet, has informed the CIK-FIA that the organiser of the Swedish Competition of the FIA Karting European Championship - OK and Junior has had to resign itself to cancel the event scheduled from 9th to 12th July 2020 in Kristianstad (SWE) due to circumstances regarding the COVID-19.

A newly formed series by RGMMC to promote and develop the CIK-FIA karting classes, Mini 60, OK-Junior, OK and KZ2. Due to the current situation Round 1 which was to be held in Germany is now officially off the calendar and replaced with Round 3 in Autódromo Internacional do Algarve Portugal. Two months after the announcement of the launch of the Charles Leclerc chassis range produced by the Birel ART factory, the sporting season for the Lennox Racing team, which officially represents the colours of Charles Leclerc in racing, takes shape with a line-up of 11 drivers from seven different nations. Youth and experience are both represented within this exciting new challenge.

The 2020 drivers line-up will be presented in January together with the racing programmes, that will include the participation to all the FIA events and the main international meetings.

Everything is ready now, in view of the 2020 season, for the debut of the structure by OTK Kart Group: the Exprit Racing Team, taking the Exprit chassis officially onto the track in the CIK-FIA and WSK competitions led by the World Champion Patrik Hajek.

In order to highlight the emergence of young talents at the highest level of competition, each year the CIK-FIA organises a specific classification for Drivers up to 16 years of age participating in the FIA Karting World Championship and in the FIA Karting European Championship in the OK category for the first time. Among the thirty Drivers who met these criteria, the Italian Gabriele Minì has been remarkably prominent throughout the season. He had the most points in the fight to be named Rookie of the Year 2019.

Sweden's Emil Skaras and the Energy Corse team have confirmed their European KZ2 Championship win by mounting the third step of the podium of the International Super Cup, a true World Cup in this difficult category, which again assembled a field of more than 120 drivers at the Lonato circuit. The entire Energy Corse-TM Racing team is more than ever a famous benchmark in high level international races.

Parolin Racing Kart's efforts extend to every category in Karting. Noted for several seasons by its dominance among the youngest drivers, Parolin also benefits from its success in Junior and OK to increase its presence throughout the market. In Finland, at the FIA ​​Karting World Championship - OK and Junior, the Italian brand was the third largest chassis manufacturer with 16 drivers entered in its colours. Meanwhile, the performance was there with Racing Team drivers Gabriele Mini' in OK and James Wharton in Junior.

Thanks to a new regulation adopted for the 2019 World Championships, the drivers were able to use an extra set of slick tyres for the Final, guaranteeing perfect sporting equality for all. Lorenzo Travisanutto won his duel with Juho Valtanen, the leader at the start of the race. At the end, the Finn was unable to counter the final rush of the two Britons Taylor Barnard and Harry Thompson, who accompanied the Italian champion on the podium. The excitement of the many spectators gathered around the circuit testified to the intensity of this Final. For LeCont, it was a new technological challenge that has been successfully met. 

Organised this year in Finland, the FIA ​​Karting World Championship in OK was a great sporting and popular success. In front of full stands, Lorenzo Travisanutto won a second consecutive world crown after an exciting Final. At a meeting with extremely changeable weather conditions, LeCont tyres played their role perfectly, ensuring performance, consistency and sporting fairness, both in the dry and the wet.
