This weekend from Thursday 19th to Sunday 23rd June, the Slovakia Ring will be once again the center of international karting by hosting the 3rd Round of the FIA ​​European OK and OK-Junior Championship.

In the last few days, the Kalì Kart Racing Team has formalized a double competitive program for Simone Bianco in the second part of the season. Together with his commitment in the KZ2 class, a category in which he had his debut this year to gain experience in the WSK races and in the Italian Championship, the Lombard driver, in fact, will also take part in an OK program with the aim of attending the FIA​​World Championship in England.
 

The third competition of the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship - OK & Junior and the second competition of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy will take place from 20th to 23rd June 2024 in Slovakia at the Slovakia Karting Center.
 

The KR-IAME teams continue their winning run in the Champions of the Future Euro Series with a third victory in three races in OK and a return to the lead in OK-Junior. By finishing 3rd behind Noah Baglin after some incredible comebacks, Niklas Schaufler regained the overall lead in the Juniors. In OK, KR chassis made it a hat-trick with Joe Turney, Thibaut Ramaekers, the new series leader, and David Cosma Cristofor. On the difficult Slovakia Ring, the Italian brand has certainly found the right way to optimise performance, from free practice to the finals.

Matheus Morgatto was undoubtedly one of the best OK performers last weekend on the Slovak Karting Center circuit, the venue for the third round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series.

Rising from the ashes in 2020, the Slovakia Ring provided the backdrop for Round 3 of the Champions of the Future Euro Series, which has now moved into the second half of the 2024 season. The uncertain weather conditions of the first day gave way to incessant duels and intense suspense, under the direction of promoter RGMMC, who managed the organisation of the meeting to perfection. Britain's Joe Turney in OK and Spain's Christian Costoya in OK-Junior emerged victorious from this difficult event, leaving the series wide open ahead of the last two rounds scheduled in Sweden and the UK.

The history-making CIK-FIA Approval of the Rotax E-Powertrain is fundamental for BRP-Rotax, who remains at the forefront of shaping the future of electric kart racing with the E20 E-Kart.

In France, the KR Motorsport team emerged victorious from the second round of the European Championship, in both OK and OK-Junior. Making the right choices at the right time is one of the strengths of the Italian brand, which demonstrated its ability to adapt to all weather conditions. Joe Turney and Iacopo Martinese dominated the proceedings on the Val d'Argenton circuit, a track no one was even familiar with a few weeks ago. The Briton is now the Championship leader in OK, while the Italian has moved up to 3rd in OK-Junior.

By successfully navigating his way through the many pitfalls of the second round of the FIA Karting European Junior Championship without crashing, Christian Costoya demonstrated Parolin Motorsport's current level of performance right up to the foot of the podium. The solidity of his performance despite the unpredictable weather conditions of the first two days of competition kept the team's confidence high, and we can celebrate with him as he leaves Val d'Argenton in 2nd place in the provisional standings.

Following on from his 5th place in the Champions of the Future Euro Series, Matheus Morgatto put in an exceptional performance at the Val d'Argenton circuit during the second round of the FIA Karting European Championship - OK. The Brazilian driver from the Charles Leclerc Racing team made the most of the potential of his Birel ART / TM Kart in all the conditions of a weekend made particularly difficult by the changeable weather. Delighted to have reached the third step of the Final podium, he also moved up to 4th place in the Championship.

The weather played an important role in the running of the FIA Karting Val d'Argenton Event. After the changeable and wet weather of the first two days, the sun shone on Sunday and all the races took place on a dry track. Joe Turney (GBR) continued his domination of the OK class to the Final, as did Iacopo Martinese in OK-Junior. Jakub Gasparovic (SVK) won the first 2024 Final of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy.

The 2nd Round of the FIA ​​Karting European Championship - OK & Junior which took place in France on the Val D'Argenton track also saw the CRG Racing Team among the main protagonists of the event. The OK top-class drivers took part and played a leading role, once again led by Gabriel Gomez. The Brazilian was constantly among the fastest on the track and after the qualifying phases, he obtained P5 on the starting grid for the Final. Louis Iglesias also confirmed himself to be very competitive, conquering P12 on the grid for the Final, just as Mark Dubnitski, Tom Dussol, Davide Bottaro and Markas Silkunas entered the top 36, confirming the competitiveness of the CRG Factory Team.
