RPM set for 2026 FIA Formula Regional European Championship as new era begins

Irish squad unveils Costa, Maschio and Przyrowski

RPM has confirmed its participation in the FIA Formula Regional European Championship, as the Irish team continues its commitment to the competitive single-seater category, which will run under full FIA status with the organisation and promotion of ACI (Automobile Club d'Italia) and will mark the debut of the brand-new Tatuus T-326.

With the 2026 campaign approaching, the Keith Donegan-led outfit has finalised its driver line-up, naming Miguel Costa, Giovanni Maschio and Jan Przyrowski as the three drivers set to represent the team this season.

Seventeen-year-old Brazilian Miguel Costa, born in Miami, enjoyed a successful karting career before making his single-seater debut last season in the Spanish F4 Championship. Earlier this year he contested the Formula Regional Middle East Trophy Certified by FIA with RPM, securing a podium finish at the opening round in Abu Dhabi, where he claimed an impressive second place.

Giovanni Maschio enters the new season with three full campaigns in the Formula Regional European Championship under his belt, marking his third consecutive year with RPM. The 19-year-old Italian will be aiming to capitalise on that experience as he sets his sights on fighting at the front.

Seventeen-year-old Polish driver Jan Przyrowski is set to make his debut in the series. He arrives after two seasons spent in the Spanish F4 Championship, along with an impressive karting background. Earlier this year, competing with RPM in the Formula Regional Middle East Trophy Certified by FIA, Przyrowski delivered a superb second-place finish at Yas Marina. He went on to emerge as one of the standout performers in the closing stages of the season, producing a strong run of form across the final rounds in Dubai and Lusail, where he added two further podium finishes to his tally.

RPM is one of ten teams set to compete in this year's FIA Formula Regional European Championship, with the first of eight rounds taking place at Austria's Red Bull Ring over the weekend of 24-26 April.
