Freddie Slater and Keanu Al Azhari were the stars of the second round of the Formula 4 UAE Championship Certified by FIA (F4 UAE) at the Yas Marina Circuit. While Al Azhari secured two wins on the full 5.281km Grand Prix layout, it was Slater who romped to victory in the opener and took the biggest points haul across the three races to extend his championship lead.

Freddie Slater emerged from the opening weekend of the 2024 F4 UAE Championship at the Yas Marina Circuit with the series lead following his first win in single-seater racing, and a hat-trick of finishes in the top four. The 15-year-old British talent, who only moved into F4 in August 2023, was a force all weekend with Mumbai Falcons Racing. Slater finished third in the opening race, then charged from 10th in the starting line-up for the reversed-grid sequel to snatch fourth place on the sprint to the finish line. Slater rounded out the weekend by claiming victory in the weekend’s final race.

199 drivers of 48 nationalities had to face wet and changing weather conditions on Friday 16th September at the Sarno circuit (ITA). The 2022 series finale took place in Genk, with great entries once again, and dramatic battles for the titles! Once again, all categories showed in strong numbers for the title showdowns. There hadn’t been a double winner so far in any of the categories, and all three titles were up for grabs with several contenders mathematically able to win in all categories. The weather in Genk was warm and sunny, but there was a small patch of rain that made its appearance on Friday just on time for the Qualifying Practice.

After Free Practice sessions marked by rain showers, the Åsum Ring was dry for the Qualifying sessions of the third round of the FIA Karting European Championship - OK and OK-Junior on Friday at noon in Kristianstad.
