The temperature wasn't the only thing to rise during the Qualifying Heats which have been taking place since Friday afternoon in Italy, during a competition that on Sunday afternoon will decide the winners of the FIA Karting European Championships - OK and Junior as well as the FIA Karting Academy Trophy. Race direction and the stewards are keeping a close eye on compliance with the regulations.

The FIA Karting European Championships - OK and Junior have just started in Spain at the Kartódromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero in Valencia with 169 participants. Italian-licensed Brazilian Gabriel Gomez took pole position in Qualifying from the 86 OK drivers and the young German Taym Saleh was the fastest of the 83 OK-Junior drivers.

After numerous events in Italy, the season accelerated a little more with the launch of the 2023 Champions of the Future Euro Series, which started in Spain in Valencia. In both OK and OK-Junior, KR chassis dominated the Finals with two wins and even two double wins! Meanwhile, at the WSK Euro Series in Lonato, the first official outing of the KR Motorsport team in KZ2 resulted in a double podium. Successes in the Mini and Mini U10 classes were added to the impressive list of achievements during the second weekend of March.

The fourth and final round of the FIA Karting European Championships - OK and OK-Junior got off to a good start on Friday 8th July in Franciacorta (ITA). Qualifying Practice was particularly intense and provided some surprises. On a track that was already very slippery, two Frenchmen stood out. Jimmy Helias took the OK-Junior pole position while Enzo Deligny set a superb time at the head of the OK class.

Energy Corse was clearly one of the most competitive teams in the first round of the FIA Karting European Championships. In OK, Tomass Stolcermanis came close to victory in the Final at Portimao. The 2019 FIA Karting European Championships - OK and OK-Junior retain the usual pattern of four meetings in France, Belgium and Sweden. The list of entries for the first Competition in Angerville (FRA) confirms the attractiveness of the international categories with 163 Drivers registered, 73 in OK and 90 in OK-Junior. Five continents and 36 nationalities will be represented with distribution balanced between France, Finland and Italy, as the most numerous, as well as Russia, Spain, Great Britain and Sweden.
