Argentinian Williams Racing Driver Academy driver Franco Colapinto claimed second place at the Circuit de Catalunya last weekend. Franco arrived in Barcelona for the second leg of the FIA F3 double-header after a strong result in Monaco, where he just missed out on a podium finish. The Argentinian’s weekend started well by finishing P3 in Friday’s qualifying session, claiming his best result of the season so far.

Lining up for the two reverse-grid races held on Saturday, Olli Caldwell navigated the pack to perfection to secure his first win in the series in race 2 coming from a solid sixth place in race 1. Starting from P7 in race 2, the British racer quickly improved his position. While in P5, he made the most out of two contacts ahead and boldly held onto the lead throughout the closing stages.

Fourth is Alex Quinn (Arden Motorsport), fifth is Mari Boya (Van Amersfoort Racing), losing 2 positions, and sixth William Alatalo (Arden Motorsport).
