First Rotax Racing Club launching in California

Gunskirchen – BRP-Rotax is proud to announce the launch of the first official Rotax Racing Club, set to debut in the United States in partnership with Formula KFX. The new “Arrive & Drive” Championship will be introduced to the public with a Launch Event at the Sonoma Raceway Karting Center on August 16, 2025.

The Rotax Racing Club California, organized by Formula KFX, offers an inclusive entry into karting, making it easier than ever for aspiring racers to experience the thrill of high-performance motorsport. This exciting new platform introduces three professionally managed Arrive & Drive Championships for Juniors (age 12-14), Seniors (age 15+) and Masters (age 32+), focusing on affordability, accessibility, and competitive parity.

With the support of BRP-ROTAX and a fleet of identically prepared Birel ART chassis powered by the proven ROTAX 125 EVO engine, every driver will have the chance to compete on a level playing field.

Motorsport for Everyone

Created with affordability, fairness, and development in mind, the Rotax Racing Club California provides a structured pathway into the sport without the need to own expensive equipment. Participants simply register, bring their personal racing gear, and everything else is provided – from the kart to expert technical support.

“Our association with BRP-Rotax came at the perfect time. I have been looking for a partner who shares my vision of providing affordable and competitive opportunities to the grassroots racer, allowing them to have access to a professionally run platform on which to exhibit their skills and forge a career pathway onto the world stage”, said Philip Pegler, Founder of Formula KFX. “The Rotax Racing Club allows that vision to become a reality by offering the series an incredible level of support with its outstanding engine platform.”
