The karting season has reached the point where the MINI Team and the CRG Racing Team split their programmes for the Senior categories (OKJ, OK and KZ). After sharing the paddock and competing together in all the early-season WSK events, the MINI Team will now focus on the Italian ACI Karting Championship, which features a five-round calendar.

A long and positive racing season for the CRG Racing Team came to an end with the 2nd Round of the WSK Final Cup on the Cremona track. This last international event of the year confirmed the great competitiveness achieved in the OK Junior category, where work is underway towards 2025 and where Sebastian Minns and Asher Ochstein have had a weekend as great protagonists since the eliminatory Heats.

At the end of the season that has just ended, as per tradition, Giancarlo Tinini draws up a sporting balance for the CRG brand, also facing the main technical and commercial issues affecting the karting world on a larger scale. From a sporting point of view, 2022 has seen the CRG colors conquering a new World title with Viktor Gustafsson in the KZ category, as well as obtaining success in the KZ2 World Cup with Arthur Carbonnel, successes that confirm an unparalleled winning tradition in the international arena.

At the end of the year, the team manager of the CRG Racing Team, Glenn Keyaert, will leave the Italian company. This is a professional choice of the Belgian technician who, after 9 years in CRG, decided to undertake a new work experience in a different company of the karting sector.

CRG has made official the first piece of its drivers’ line-up for 2021 by announcing Alex Irlando for the KZ category. The agreement with the Apulian driver is part of a large project to strengthen its Racing Team, which CRG is undertaking especially for the KZ categories.

In Lonato’s the crowded and competitive Winter Cup, Paolo De Conto’s second place stands out once again in KZ2. Good results also for Pedro Hiltbrand and Gabriel Bortoleto in the OK and Enzo Trulli in the OK Junior. First meeting of the year for the CRG Racing Team in Lonato, at the 24^th Winter Cup, in the traditional event the opens the season and that had an excellent number of participants, with 310 drivers coming from 43 countries. Following his father’s footsteps, 12 years old Enzo Trulli, son of Jarno, that has been a great protagonist of F1 in the ‘90s and 2000s, started a training path in karting, as already happened to several sons of excellent drivers. Obviously, the experience of his father is behind Enzo’s choices. Jarno follows his son actively as second mechanic since the National races in Italy, where Enzo moved his first steps in karting. He chose CRG Racing team for the son in 2018 for his first complete International season, entrusting the Italian outfit.
