It was the big finale of the German Kart Championship this season. 149 drivers from all over the world started on the Schweppermannring in Ampfing and fought for the coveted victories in very mixed weather. The championship titles finally went to Harry Thompson (DKM), Robert De Haan (DJKM), Stan Pex (DSKM) and Senna Van Walstijn (DSKC).

After a nine-week-long break, the participants of the German Kart Championship are going to start on the Erftlandring in Kerpen now. The venerable track has been a constant part of the DKM racing calendar for years and always poses a special challenge. Formula 1 record World Champion Michael Schumacher and four-time Formula 1 World Champion and DKM patron Sebastian Vettel already began their motorsports careers there. In the DEKM, DTM-driver Ferdinand Habsburg is going to start as a popular guest driver.

Last weekend, the South Garda Circuit in Italian Lonato welcomed the participants of the German Kart Championship to the first event of the year. 187 participants made for record fields in the four kart racing grade series of the German Motorsports Foundation (DMSB).
