The Rotax MAX Challenge Winter Series opening round is well underway at Cremona Circuit, where the rain shows no signs of stopping. The first heats have been completed, setting the stage for an intense weekend of racing.

The 2025 season is officially underway, and a rainy Friday has crowned the first polemen of the year.

The stage is set at the Cremona Circuit for the highly anticipated first round of the Rotax MAX Challenge Winter Series. Approximately 200 drivers will battle it out on the Lombardy-based track, competing across categories including Mini MAX, Junior MAX, Senior MAX, DD2, and DD2 Masters. The Senior MAX remains the most competitive and populated category with 86 registered drivers, followed by 44 in Junior MAX, 34 in Mini MAX, and 30 across DD2 and DD2 Masters.

The Rotax MAX Challenge Winter Series has already attracted over 150 drivers, making it one of the most anticipated karting events of the season. The series will feature two rounds, starting with the first race at Cremona Circuit from February 12th to 16th, followed by the second round at the International Circuit of Viterbo from March 26th to 30th.

Registrations are now officially open for the first round of the Rotax MAX Challenge Winter Series (RMC Winter Series), set to take place at the Cremona Circuit from February 14 to 16, 2025.

The day started under cool and calm conditions at the Circuito Internazionale di Napoli in Sarno, Italy, but the track action heated up throughout the day, concluding with three Qualifying Practice sessions. Setting the grids in Micro MAX, Mini MAX, and MAX DD2 Masters, the remaining classes will qualify tomorrow, with wheel-to-wheel action to follow. Of note, Non-Qualifying Practice 6 for Junior MAX Even, Senior MAX Odd and Even, MAX DD2 Odd and Even were cancelled today due to heavy rain, as those classes still have Non-Qualifying Practice 7 tomorrow morning.
