ART Grand Prix is pleased to announce the arrival of Patrik Pasma to the team they have entered in the European Formula Regional Championship by Alpine. The young Finn will replace Thomas Ten Brinke from the sixth round of the season, which will take place on the last weekend of July at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps Circuit in Belgium (23-25/07).

Thomas ten Brinke has ended his motorsport career with immediate effect. The 16-year-old Ten Brinke joined the TeamNL selection at the beginning of this year, but has now indicated that he no longer enjoys the sport and is therefore quitting with immediate effect. While the KNAF and TeamNL regret the decision as the talented Ten Brinke seemed to have a great career in motorsport ahead of him, they admire the courage to make this difficult but brave choice at such a young age.

Track conditions vary, yellow flags interrupt twice the 20 minutes session of qualifying practice 2, but nothing changes at the head of the standings, with the Swiss Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix – 1:31.193) setting an amazing lap time, 0.367 faster than his teammate, Gabriele Minì. Third is a fantastic Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport – 1:31.781), showing again a constant improvement of the driver and the team. Fourth is Mikhael Belov (G4 Racing – 1:31.949), who yesterday has brought the first points to his team, and is continuing to give strong support to G4 Racing in expressing their full potential. Fifth is Francesco Pizzi (Van Amersfoort Racing – 1:32.010), obtaining his best position in qualifying this year. Just behind the Italian driver is Oliver Goethe (MP Motorsport – 1:32.015).

In the second 50 minutes practice session of the Friday, Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix) confirms to be the fastest also with new tires, obtaining a very good lap time (1:57.937), being the only driver to go below 1:58.000. Behind him, his teammate, Gabriele Minì, stopping the watch at 1:58.275, so not as close as he might have wanted, but still in a potential first row.

The young Dutchman Thomas ten Brinke made a breakthrough on the international stage in 2018 before reaping the rewards of his talent and hard work the following year.
