Sweden's Emil Skaras and the Energy Corse team have confirmed their European KZ2 Championship win by mounting the third step of the podium of the International Super Cup, a true World Cup in this difficult category, which again assembled a field of more than 120 drivers at the Lonato circuit. The Birel ART Racing Team has just won the most beautiful of trophies, the FIA ​​Karting World Championship. The Italian brand was victorious in the most demanding of categories, KZ, against all the top drivers in the world. In Italy, at the Lonato circuit that all the teams know perfectly, Birel ART knew how to make the difference thanks to highly competitive equipment. After the Final, Birel ART even managed to take a double success. While Marijn Kremers was the main recipient of this major success, Riccardo Longhi celebrated his debut in KZ with the title of Vice World Champion. For Birel ART, the work paid off, as well as that of the TM Racing engine brand and the technical staff. For the 60th anniversary of Birel ART, the clearly forecast goal has been achieved!

Parolin Racing Kart's efforts extend to every category in Karting. Noted for several seasons by its dominance among the youngest drivers, Parolin also benefits from its success in Junior and OK to increase its presence throughout the market. In Finland, at the FIA ​​Karting World Championship - OK and Junior, the Italian brand was the third largest chassis manufacturer with 16 drivers entered in its colours. Meanwhile, the performance was there with Racing Team drivers Gabriele Mini' in OK and James Wharton in Junior.

Thanks to a new regulation adopted for the 2019 World Championships, the drivers were able to use an extra set of slick tyres for the Final, guaranteeing perfect sporting equality for all. Lorenzo Travisanutto won his duel with Juho Valtanen, the leader at the start of the race. At the end, the Finn was unable to counter the final rush of the two Britons Taylor Barnard and Harry Thompson, who accompanied the Italian champion on the podium. The excitement of the many spectators gathered around the circuit testified to the intensity of this Final. For LeCont, it was a new technological challenge that has been successfully met. 

Organised this year in Finland, the FIA ​​Karting World Championship in OK was a great sporting and popular success. In front of full stands, Lorenzo Travisanutto won a second consecutive world crown after an exciting Final. At a meeting with extremely changeable weather conditions, LeCont tyres played their role perfectly, ensuring performance, consistency and sporting fairness, both in the dry and the wet.

After two days marked by light and heavy showers and a slippery track, the 2019 FIA ​​Karting World Championship - OK and Junior was bathed in sunny weather on Friday 6th September. The battle was very tight during the Qualifying Practices between the 88 OK Drivers, as well as between the 104 participants in OK-Junior. Gabriele Minì (ITA) was finally the fastest in the top class, while Nikita Bedrin took 1st place in Junior.

The 2019 FIA ​​Karting World Championship - OK and Junior will take place in Finland from 6th to 8th September at the Alahärmä Powerpark circuit. A much-anticipated event for this country of motorsport enthusiasts, the major world event promises to be full of suspense on a spectacular and fast track with a big field of more than 200 Drivers, gathering the best talents from 44 nations on five continents.

Since last year, the CIK-FIA has made a specific classification for Drivers up to the age of 16, participating in the FIA ​​Karting World Championship and the FIA ​​Karting European Championship for the first time in the OK category, in order to highlight the emergence of young talents at the highest level of racing.

CIK-FIA President Felipe Massa wanted to be in attendance in Sweden for the last big sporting event of the 2018 season, the FIA ​​Karting World Championship - OK and Junior held in Kristianstad from 20th to 23rd September. With his great appreciation of competition, he enjoyed the extremely high standard of racing and was pleased with the increase in the number of participants.

Thanks to perfect organisation, the major world karting event in Genk in Belgium kept all its sporting promises, spectacular and popular, with several thousand spectators at this remarkable event. It has been a full programme this Saturday, September 8th at Genk (BEL) with no less than 25 Qualifying Heats and two historic kart demonstrations. The many well informed spectators were divided between the main stand and the periphery of the circuit to enjoy the intensity of the races.

The first FIA Karting World Competition of the year promises to be particularly bright in Belgium at Genk, the Home of Champions.
