Everything is ready at the South Garda Karting of Lonato for the 27th edition of the Winter Cup, opening race of the season scheduled for the weekend of 20-22 January 2023. The traditional round of the Winter Cup is back on the calendar for a new great international event with the MINI Gr.3, OK, OKJ and KZ2 categories. 

The official sporting programme for the new season has been completed, with 20 drivers lined up in the MINI, OKJ, OK and KZ/KZ2 categories, in the main international competitions.

The Engine Division of the OTK Kart Group unveils the engines that will be protagonists on the track from 2023: VTZ (KZ/KZ2), VTS (OK), VTS-N (OK-N), VTJ (OKJ) and VTM (MINI).

At the end of the season that has just ended, as per tradition, Giancarlo Tinini draws up a sporting balance for the CRG brand, also facing the main technical and commercial issues affecting the karting world on a larger scale. From a sporting point of view, 2022 has seen the CRG colors conquering a new World title with Viktor Gustafsson in the KZ category, as well as obtaining success in the KZ2 World Cup with Arthur Carbonnel, successes that confirm an unparalleled winning tradition in the international arena.

The 26th edition of the Winter Cup was not held in February as usual, but in November on the South Garda Karting circuit in Lonato. The rain, which was getting heavier and heavier, made the Final stages more difficult. PREMA Powerteam announces that Andrea Kimi Antonelli will join the team for his car racing debut in the final three rounds of the Italian Formula 4 Championship. The Italian racer will make the step to single-seater competition at the Red Bull Ring only a few days after turning 15 years old.
